The 7-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will visit the 5-7 Washington Redskins at FedEx Field this Sunday December 12th, 2010.
The Bucs are listed as -2 points favorites with a total of 41 for this one.
Last week Tampa Bay had the game for grabs against the Atlanta Falcons, only to allow a 102-yard kickoff return followed by penalties that gave the Falcons free yards, to end it with a Josh Freeman interception when they were going for the win.
Meanwhile the Washington Redskins got run over by the New York Giants who were missing three starting linemen. Brandon Jacobs ran for 103 and 2 touchdowns, while Ahmad Bradshaw added 97 yards and another two touchdowns, to beat the Redskins 31-7.
Things don´t get any better for a Redskins defense that ranks 28th against the run, has surrendered 12 rushing touchdowns this season, and allows 137 rushing yards per game as average.
This looks very promising for Tampa Bay´s running back LeGarrette Blount , who is coming of a 103 yards, touchdown performance against Atlanta. Overall Tampa Bay´s rushing attack ranks 11th in the league, averaging 119 yards per game.
Washington currently ranks an also mediocre 29th against the pass, allowing 260 yards per game and surrendering 18 touchdowns to receivers this year.
On offense, they rank 27th running the ball, achieving only 89 rushing yards per game as average with 8 touchdowns. They do have some success when McNabb throws the ball, and this Redskins passing attack ranks 9th in the league.
The Bucs played much of the game against Atlanta without cornerback Aqib Talib, who left in the second quarter with a hip injury, but this is a stout secondary unit that ranks 7th against the pass, allowing 206 passing yards per game.
