The 1-1 Jacksonville Jaguars will face the 0-2 Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium this Sunday September 25th, 2011 for their week 3 match up.
The line for this game is available at BetOnline and it has the Panthers as -3.5 point favorites with a total of 43.
As unbelievable as it may sound, the Carolina Panthers are second in the league in passing yards, with 807 in the first two weeks. Even though his team lost the first two games quarterback Cam Newton has impressed everyone with his game, showing his true uniqueness as a young but very promising quarterback. Although his yardage is impressive, his touchdown/interception ratio is now 3/4, meaning he will obviously make rookie mistakes.
Carolina is yet to find their running game as well, averaging only 72.5 yards per game so far, with neither Jonathan Stewart nor DeAngelo Williams scoring a touchdown yet.
The Jacksonville Jaguars currently rank 6th running the ball, averaging 137 rushing yards per game. Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 88 yards against a tough Jets run defense last Sunday, and is definitely the highlight of this offense, especially with the mess at the quarterback position. The Jaguars are the only team that has not scored a passing touchdown in the first two weeks of the season, just four interceptions.
Despite both teams’ records, the Panthers are clearly the better team, and they are certainly hungry to get their first win, which will come against the Jaguars. Anticipate the line movement and Bet the Panthers now!
