The Silver and Black will kick off the 2012 season against AFC West Division rival San Diego Chargers on the second game of a Monday Night Football doubleheader this September 10th, 2012 at the Coliseum.
The line for this game has the visiting Chargers as 1 point favorites with a total of 47.5, brought to you by BetOnline Sportsbook
Under new head coach Dennis Allen and new GM Reggie McKenzie the Oakland Raiders will be looking to implement a different style of defense, with a full offseason under their belt their key pieces on offense will be of course Darren McFadden and quarterback Carson Palmer, who has a good group of young receivers. The last three games of this rivalry have been won by Oakland.
San Diego will be displaying new pieces in offense. Gone is wide receiver Vincent Jackson but the team was able to bring deep threat receiver Robert Meachem who is set for a breakout year and of course with a healthy Antonio Gates they are still a team with plenty of options in the passing game. Running back Ryan Matthews is expected to carry the load after Mike Tolbert signed with the Panthers in the offseason.
Both teams have new pieces on offense and defense that will need to get acquainted to new systems. While we have a full offseason to work, the tuning of both teams has to be precise for this to be such a high scoring game as projected. Bet the under 47.5 at BetOnline!
