Running back Harvey Unga was selected in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Supplemental Draft by the Bears today.
Unga, 6-foot-1, 244 pounds, received a great deal of attention from the NFL after withdrawing from BYU because of an honor code violation. Twenty teams attended his impromptu Pro Day last Thursday. Unga topped the 1,000-yard rushing mark each of the past three seasons for the Cougars, racking up 1,087 yards and 11 TDs last year. Over his collegiate career, he also hauled in 102 passes out of the backfield.
The two other players available in Thursday’s Supplemental Draft, RB Quentin Castille of Northwestern State and WR Vanness Emokpae of Truman State, went undrafted.
